Abstract

This is a guide-book that brings forth the art and architecture of Macao and the baroque treasures that make the territory of Macao so attractive. The book aims to help with an understanding of the complex history and layout of the city as a Portuguese ex-colony founded in the sixteenth century, as a postcolonial city, and as a modern Chinese city.
