This chapter is a field report from Fu Jen Catholic University, one of the leaders in service-learning in Taiwan. The case study epitomizes the philosophy of Fu Jen Catholic University in the promotion of its service-learning curriculum and how it relates to the university's more general educational goals. It is a successful example of a service-learning program in that it correctly identifies the need of a marginalized social group, coordinates resources available, engages the service providers and receivers in a productive and rewarding way, and allows communication across different social groups. The case study can be a valuable reference for educators interested in designing their own service-learning curriculum.
