This chapter examines important agenda for research in multicultural discourse. It argues that as discourse analysis has been widely and rapidly spreading among many disciplines and international communities, it may be necessary to reflect on the deeper philosophical, theoretical, and practical issues involved. It also discusses the potential problem concerning the reproduction of many unchallenged presumptions and intellectual habits of the Western modernist paradigm.

Keywords:   multicultural discourse, international communities, discourse analysis, unchallenged presumptions, modernist paradigm
