This chapter discusses the famous Ruins of St Paul. It is situated on a hill 26 metres above sea level, and possibly represents one of the most famous baroque images. It looks at the different areas of the church, from the two-dimensional façade to the relics found in the chancel. A detailed analysis is provided for the façade, which is separated into five levels.
