Lesbian Manifestoes and the Origins of Uncle Go’s Lesbian Advice Columns
This chapter details letters to Uncle Go from lesbians that reflect calls for social justice for homosexuals in Thailand and for recognition and acceptance of lesbian relationships. The distinctive feminine forms of language used in the letters from lesbians to Uncle Go are also detailed. Uncle Go’s differing attitudes towards tom (masculine) and dee (feminine) lesbians are summarised.
