Achieving your GOAL: A case study of three learners
This chapter reports on a yearlong case study of three learners at Kanda University of International Studies in Japan. Analysing data from learner portfolios, interviews and reflective reports, the chapter highlights the importance of the self-directed learner both setting relevant goals in order to have a positive influence on his/her learning strategies and motivation, and then creating a unique learning plan to achieve these goals.
